Twitter JavaScript API library

A client-side JavaScript library from 2009-2018 for making open, unauthenticated calls to Twitter's old search/timeline endpoints (timeline, search, favs, list, status, retweets) with a chainable API. Built for the era when Twitter still allowed JSONP-style calls straight from the browser without OAuth.

The chainable API with a built-in `next()` for pagination and `refresh()` for re-running the last call is a nice touch for building live tweet walls (the README's own use case). The debug mode that swaps live endpoints for local JSON fixtures by method name is a genuinely useful pattern for avoiding rate limits during development, and it ships with real recorded fixtures in test/test-data rather than just describing the feature. `ify` and `render` give you tweet linkification and HTML output for free instead of making every consumer reimplement it.

This depends on Twitter/X's old open API accepting unauthenticated JSONP-style calls, which has been dead for years — OAuth and API v1.1/v2 killed this approach long before the last commit in 2018, so the library almost certainly does not work against the live API anymore. No package exports or module system beyond a bare package.json, no TypeScript types, and tests are just HTML pages (test/api.html, test/simple.html) rather than anything you can run in CI. 301 stars but no activity in 8+ years and no indication anyone's maintaining a fork that targets the current API.
