Realtime Sync for Any Backend Stack

Replicache is a client-side sync engine for building offline-first, multiplayer web apps. It sits in front of your existing backend and handles conflict resolution, optimistic updates, and real-time sync. The actual SDK code lives elsewhere — this repo is just the issue tracker.

This is an issue-tracker repo with no source code, so there is nothing to evaluate technically. The underlying product has a solid reputation for its push/pull sync model and pessimistic conflict resolution via server-authoritative mutations.

This repo hasn't seen a commit since May 2022, which is a meaningful signal. Rocicorp has since shifted focus to Zero (their newer sync product), and Replicache appears to be in maintenance or wind-down mode. Adopting it today means betting on a product the vendor is moving away from. The closed-source SDK is also a problem — you can't fork it if support ends.
