// the take
This is a link-aggregation repo built around Anthropic's Claude Design product launch (April 2026) — DESIGN.md token and type specs for nine visual 'families' lifted from real brands (Linear, Stripe, Ollama, etc.), prompt recipes, a feature/pricing comparison against Figma Make, Lovable, v0 and Stitch, and a running collection of launch-week YouTube reviews, tweets, and press coverage. Useful for anyone trying to get decent output out of Claude Design or a similar prompt-to-UI tool without burning a weekly quota on trial and error.
The DESIGN.md samples per aesthetic family (terminal, data-dense, cinematic, etc.) are concrete, copyable starting prompts with real swatches and type pairings rather than vague mood-board language — useful even outside Claude Design, e.g. as system prompts for any LLM-driven UI generator. The quota/token-budget section pulls hard numbers from multiple independent reviewers (cost per prompt, the vision-token multiplier, how fast the weekly allowance disappears) into one place, the kind of operational detail Anthropic's own docs underplay. The comparison table against Figma Make, Lovable, v0, Stitch and SuperDesign is specific about features that actually differ (DESIGN.md persistence, web capture, IDE-native workflow) rather than generic feature-checkbox padding.
Nearly everything of lasting value here is scoped to one paid, quota-limited product still in research preview — the DESIGN.md recipes and token-budget advice go stale the moment Anthropic changes pricing or UX, which the linked review threads already describe happening within weeks of launch. A large share of the content is embedded YouTube view counts, tweet quotes, and press links rather than original analysis; once the launch-week news cycle ends there's nothing here that updates itself, so it reads as dated within a quarter unless someone keeps it current by hand. Claims like stock-price reactions, hallucination cost figures, and usage-quota percentages come entirely from third-party blog posts and Reddit threads with no independent verification — treat the numbers as anecdotal, not benchmarked. There's no actual software in the repo: no SDK wrapper, no CLI, no automation around DESIGN.md generation — it's reference material you copy by hand, not a tool you install.
