A multiplatform Dart movie app with 40% of code sharing between Flutter and the Web.

A multiplatform cinema-listings app (Finnkino showtimes) that splits business logic into a shared 'core' Dart package consumed by a Flutter mobile app and an AngularDart web app. It's useful mainly as a worked example of structuring a Dart codebase for cross-platform reuse, not as a library or template to build on today.

The core/mobile/web split is done properly — Redux state, the Finnkino XML parsing, i18n, and networking all live in a platform-agnostic package with no Flutter or Angular imports, so the 40% sharing claim actually holds up on inspection. Test coverage is real, not decorative: there are dedicated tests for parsers, reducers, middleware, selectors, and viewmodels, which is more rigor than most hobby Flutter projects bother with. It's also a shipped, real-world app (App Store, Play Store, PWA) hitting a live third-party API, not a todo-list demo.

AngularDart has been dead for new web development for years, so a third of this project's value proposition (the web side) is built on a framework nobody should start with in 2026. Last push was March 2022 and the README still references Flutter 1.0 and flutter_redux — Redux has since been largely displaced by Provider/Riverpod/Bloc in the Flutter ecosystem, so the patterns here are dated rather than instructive for current idioms. Getting it running is friction-heavy: separate Dart SDK for web, webdev CLI, a TMDB API key workaround, and three projects that have to be opened in three separate editor windows since there's no single workspace config.
