// the take
An early lightweight dependency injection container for Unity3D, written as a teaching reference for a set of articles on IoC patterns in Unity. It's explicitly marked obsolete by its own author, superseded by Svelto-IoC, and is really only useful today as a historical look at how DI was approached in pre-2017 Unity projects.
Small and readable codebase — the Container/Binder/Provider split makes the core IoC mechanics easy to follow for someone learning the pattern. Ships a working Unity example project (monster spawner, path manager) that demonstrates constructor-less field injection via MonoBehaviours, which is a real problem Unity developers still hit. Includes actual unit tests via NUnitLite, unusual rigor for a Unity sample from this era.
Abandoned since 2017 and explicitly deprecated by the author in favor of Svelto-IoC, so there's zero chance of bug fixes or compatibility updates for modern Unity versions. Built against a Unity API and .NET runtime nearly a decade old — reflection-based injection at this vintage will have real performance problems on IL2CPP or newer scripting backends. No package manager support (predates UPM), so integration means manually dragging files into Assets. Reflection-heavy DI containers like this are generally a poor fit for mobile/console-constrained Unity projects where startup allocation and GC pressure matter.
