Slack Developer Kit for Node.js

The official Slack SDK for Node.js, split into one npm package per Slack API: web-api for the 270-plus Web API methods, socket-mode for WebSocket event listening, and separate packages for OAuth and incoming webhooks. It is for developers building Slack apps or bots in Node or TypeScript who want maintained typed clients instead of hand-rolled HTTP calls.

- Each Slack API ships as its own package, so a service that only posts messages installs @slack/web-api and nothing else, with no Socket Mode or OAuth code in the dependency tree.

- Socket Mode runs over a WebSocket, so a bot can run on a laptop or behind a firewall without a public HTTPS endpoint. That makes local development and internal tools far less painful than the Events API route.

- WebClient method names mirror the Slack reference (web.chat.postMessage maps directly to chat.postMessage), so the API docs translate straight into code.

- Actively maintained: the last push was three days before this review, releases go through changesets, and CI is wired up. For a client that has to track a moving third-party API, that matters more than the feature list.

- The README is mostly a map. The Events API, interactive messages and Socket Mode sections are one-line links to the docs site, and the only real code is a single Web API example, so the repo page does not stand on its own.

- The Socket Mode description says it covers 'a limited set of events' and the README does not say which ones are excluded. If you need an event outside that set, you are back to running a public HTTP endpoint and discovering the gap late.

- The top-level example is plain JavaScript even though the project is TypeScript and the typed surface is the main reason to pick it over a generic HTTP client. The install line also installs packages without saying anything about version compatibility across them.
