A pure no-std Rust modbus library

A no-std Modbus protocol library for Rust covering both TCP and RTU framing/codec logic, meant to be embedded in something else (a driver, a gateway, a firmware image) rather than used standalone. Fits embedded and fieldbus work where you need Modbus parsing without pulling in std or an async runtime.

Genuinely no-std with feature-gated tcp/rtu so you only compile what you need — matters on constrained targets. Scope is tight: it's just frame encoding/decoding and codecs, not a full client/server stack, so it stays auditable. Has a security audit workflow and CI running on every push, and dual MIT/Apache-2.0 licensing with proper SPDX headers throughout.

README is installation instructions and protocol spec links only — no usage example, no code snippet showing how to actually decode a frame, so you're reading source to get started. 62 stars and no indication of who's running this in production; slowtec builds Modbus tooling commercially but that's inferred, not stated. No CHANGELOG excerpt or version history visible here, so it's unclear how stable the API has been across releases. Being framing-only means you still need to write or find the transport layer (serial port handling, TCP connection management) yourself.
