Modbus_Server-Client

A small Modbus TCP client/server implementation in C/C++, apparently built as a student or hobby project for simulating sensor data over Modbus. Useful only as a reference for someone learning raw Modbus TCP framing from scratch, not as something to depend on.

- Implements both client and server sides plus a sensor generator, so you can see a full request/response cycle rather than just one half of the protocol

- Includes a Makefile and a setting.config, suggesting at least a basic attempt at configurable, buildable structure rather than a single hardcoded script

- Small enough (a handful of C/C++ files) to read end-to-end in under an hour if you want to understand Modbus TCP framing at the byte level

- README is a single line with no build instructions, no explanation of the client/server/watch/gen folder layout, and no sample usage

- Zero stars, one fork, no commits since October 2023 — no evidence anyone besides the author has used or verified this works

- No license file, so it's legally unclear whether you can reuse any of this code

- Mixing C and C++ files (ModbusServer.cpp alongside ModbusClient.c) with no visible test suite raises real doubts about correctness and maintainability of the protocol handling
