✨😂 2000+ ways to add design flair, user delight, and whimsy to your product.
A massive, personally-maintained reference list of design resources for developers who know how to code but don't know how to make things look good. swyx has been adding to it since ~2020 and it genuinely covers the territory: CSS frameworks, typography, color, icons, animations, diagramming tools, and more. Not a library, not a tool — a well-organized bookmark dump.
The opinionated curation is the whole point — swyx annotates entries with stars, warnings, and opinions rather than just listing URLs. The typography section alone is unusually thorough, covering font loading strategy, fluid sizing with clamp, system font stacks, and kerning, which most lists gloss over. The CSS frameworks section is organized by tradeoff (serious/drop-in/fun/no-framework) rather than just alphabetically, which actually helps you choose. Genuinely maintained — last push June 2026, not a zombie list.
At 2000+ entries the README is borderline unusable without Ctrl+F; there's no filtering, no tags, no way to say 'show me only free tools' or 'only React-compatible'. Many links are dead or the projects have been abandoned — the list grows but rarely prunes. The directory tree is basically empty (just a ToC workflow), so there's no code, no tooling, no API — if you want to programmatically use this data you're parsing a Markdown file yourself. Heavy React and Tailwind bias in the component sections; if you're using Vue or Svelte you'll hit gaps.
