poorly guess how much money a tweet is worth

A Chrome extension by Theo (t3.gg) that slaps a rough dollar-value estimate onto tweets based on engagement metrics. It's a joke tool first and a real utility a distant second, aimed at people who want a laugh while doomscrolling rather than anyone doing actual creator-economy analysis.

Dead simple to read and audit — it's a single main.js content script plus a manifest, so you can see exactly what it's scraping and computing in a couple minutes. Small footprint (no build step, no dependencies to speak of) means low risk if you're installing a random extension from GitHub. It's honest about what it is: the description and README flat-out say the estimate is bad, so there's no false advertising to untangle.

No tests, no CI, and the last push was in October 2023, so it's unmaintained against Twitter/X DOM changes that happen constantly — it will silently break when the markup shifts. The valuation logic isn't documented anywhere (no explanation of the formula or where the numbers come from), so you can't extend or trust it beyond the joke. It's Manifest-based on whatever version was current in 2023 with no note on Manifest V3 compliance, which matters if you're trying to learn extension patterns from it rather than just install it.
