taofed/react-web
A framework for building web apps with React Native compatible API.
A shim library that lets you write React Native-style components and APIs (View, Text, StyleSheet, AppRegistry, etc.) that also run in a browser, by aliasing `react-native` to this package in webpack. Aimed at teams sharing a codebase between native and web.
Wide surface coverage of the RN API (30+ modules mirrored, from ActivityIndicator to VirtualizedList), so an existing RN screen has a real shot at rendering unmodified. The webpack alias trick is simple to wire in and doesn't require touching app code. BSD licensed with a legible per-module directory layout (one folder per RN API, `.web.js` implementation plus `index.js`).
The README's first line tells you not to use it — the author points to react-native-web as the successor, and that's exactly what happened: last push was December 2019, six years of no updates, no support for anything shipped in RN since. It also lists react-native-web itself as a dependency, so you're pulling in the thing it claims to replace. No tests visible in the tree, no CI config, and the per-module `.web.js` reimplementations mean subtle behavioral drift from real RN is likely for anything beyond basic layout and text.
