Docker Swarm mode rocks! Ideas, tools and recipes. Get a production-ready, distributed, HTTPS served, cluster in minutes, not weeks.

A documentation site (built with mkdocs) walking through setting up a production Docker Swarm mode cluster with Traefik for HTTPS via Let's Encrypt, plus recipes for Portainer, Swarmpit, and Swarmprom. It's for small teams or solo devs who want a distributed cluster without learning Kubernetes.

The core walkthrough — docker swarm init, join tokens, Traefik as a reverse proxy with automatic Let's Encrypt certs — is tight and actually gets you from empty VPS to HTTPS-served cluster quickly, no wasted steps. Companion recipes for Portainer (UI), Swarmpit (management), and Swarmprom (monitoring) round out the stack instead of leaving you with just the bare orchestrator. Scoped honestly: it targets sub-200-developer teams and says so, rather than pretending to scale to anything.

The author has deprecated the project outright — the README's first line tells you to go elsewhere (Kubernetes or the community fork dockerswarmstill.rocks), so anyone landing here is being pointed away from the thing they came for. There's no actual application code despite the 'Python' language tag; it's mkdocs config and markdown, not a library or tool you install. Docker Swarm mode itself has had minimal investment from Docker Inc for years, so the underlying platform this is built around is the bigger risk, not the docs. Old Traefik v1 docs are still sitting alongside the current Traefik v3 guide, so it's easy to follow stale config if you don't notice which version you're reading.
