usesend/useSend
Open source alternative to Resend, Sendgrid, Postmark etc.
useSend is a self-hosted alternative to Resend/Postmark/SendGrid that sends through your own AWS SES account, with a dashboard for transactional and marketing email plus contact/campaign management. It's for teams who want SES's cheap deliverability without building the tracking, webhook, and API layer on top of it themselves.
Full Next.js/tRPC/Prisma/Redis stack with a real dashboard (opens, clicks, bounces) rather than just a sending API — most SES wrappers stop at the API. SMTP support alongside the REST API means drop-in replacement for apps already using nodemailer or similar without a rewrite. Self-hosting is a first-class path: Docker images on both DockerHub and GHCR, plus a one-click Railway deploy, not just a docs page that assumes you'll figure out the infra yourself. Webhooks and a scheduling API are already shipped, not roadmap items.
AGPLv3 is a real constraint, not a footnote — if you modify it and offer it as a network service, you're obligated to publish those changes, which rules it out for some commercial self-hosters. No BYO AWS credentials yet, so multi-tenant or agency use cases that need per-client SES accounts aren't supported. Still explicitly beta with inbound email unimplemented, so anything needing reply handling or inbound parsing is a hard no today. Operational footprint is heavier than it looks on the tin: Postgres, Redis, and an SES-verified domain all need to be stood up correctly before you've sent a single email, versus signing up for a hosted API key.
