A simple app to show NBA games and scores/details.

A Remix app that pulls NBA schedules, scores, and box scores into a dashboard-style UI — game cards, standings, team stats, player stats. Useful mainly as a reference for structuring a mid-size Remix app with loaders, typed components, and a full test/story setup, not as a tool you'd actually run for NBA data today.

Component architecture is unusually disciplined for a hobby project: every component ships with its own stories.tsx and test.tsx, there's a plop generator to scaffold new ones consistently, and the README nails down a clear convention (named function components, type over interface, no default exports). CI, husky pre-commit, and MSW mocks (mocks/handlers.ts) show someone treated this like production code, not a weekend script.

Dead since December 2023, and it's built on Remix v1 (pre-React Router merger) with Node-era SSR patterns — adopting this now means fighting an abandoned framework version from day one. There's no visible abstraction around the NBA data source (just a cachedJson util), so if the underlying API it scrapes changed shape or got locked down, the app is quietly broken with no way to tell from the repo. No docs on what API it actually hits, rate limits, or how fresh the cache is, which matters a lot for a live-scores app.
