// the take
A Vue directive that wraps the IntersectionObserver API so you can run a callback when an element enters or leaves the viewport — useful for lazy loading, scroll-triggered animations, or infinite scroll triggers. It's built for Vue 2 and works as a drop-in directive or plugin.
The API is minimal and well thought out: pass a function or an options object with throttle, leading-edge, and once semantics already handled for you, so you're not hand-rolling debounce logic around IntersectionObserver callbacks. Supports disabling the observer conditionally (handy for v-for lists where only the last item needs watching), and works on both elements and components.
No Vue 3 support — the badge and peer deps are pinned to Vue 2.x, and the project stopped shipping in late 2022, so this is effectively frozen for an ecosystem that's largely moved on. You still need to bring your own IntersectionObserver polyfill for older browsers, which the README flags but doesn't solve. With no commits in four years and the author's attention split across other sponsored projects, don't expect fixes if a Vue 2 patch release or a browser change breaks something.
