// the take
A bag of ~45 hand-written ProGuard rule files for popular Android third-party libraries, wired up via Android's consumerProguardFiles mechanism so a project depending on this one gets the rules transitively instead of copy-pasting them. Useful mainly for apps targeting the Chinese market, since half the covered SDKs are domestic (AliPay, UMeng, JPush, MiPush, Getui, Baidu/GaoDe Map, RongCloud) rather than things every Android dev uses.
consumerProguardFiles is the correct mechanism here — rules propagate automatically through the AAR instead of requiring every consumer to maintain their own copy. Coverage of the China-specific push/map/payment SDKs (AliPay, MiPush, Getui, XinGe, GaoDeMap) is genuinely hard to find assembled elsewhere, since most Western-focused ProGuard rule collections skip them entirely. One file per library keeps each rule set auditable and easy to diff against upstream SDK changes.
Dead since December 2020 — five years with no commits means rules for Dagger, Retrofit, OkHttp, RxJava and Glide predate several major version bumps in those libraries, and modern versions of most of them now ship their own consumer-rules.pro inside the AAR, making this project redundant and occasionally conflicting with the library's own rules. Some rules are pinned to specific jar filenames from 2015 (alipaySDK-20150602.jar), so they're really only valid for SDK versions nobody ships anymore. No tests or CI verifying the rules actually produce a working minified build, so correctness rests entirely on manual inspection. Built for classic ProGuard-era assumptions; R8 (the AGP default since 2019) already infers far more of this automatically, shrinking the project's usefulness for anyone on a current Android Gradle Plugin.
