A massive, actively-maintained link list of free/open-source Godot games, plugins, tools, and templates, split out by Godot 2/3/4. It's for people building something in Godot who want to find an existing plugin instead of writing it themselves, or want to browse finished (or half-finished) open-source Godot projects for reference.
Genuinely large (10.8k stars) and still getting pushed weekly, which matters for an awesome-list since most of these rot fast. Splitting everything by Godot version is the right call given how much breaks between 2/3/4 — most competing lists don't bother. It follows the actual awesome-list spec (badge, CONTRIBUTING.md, pre-commit config) and runs a check-urls CI workflow, so dead links get caught instead of silently accumulating like they do in most link dumps.
It's a list, not code — there's no signal here for whether a given plugin still works on current Godot or is a student's abandoned game-jam repo; you have to click into each one to find out. No sorting or tagging by maintenance status, so a production-grade entry like Terrain3D sits next to a one-weekend prototype with zero differentiation. The Godot 2 sections are dead weight at this point (Godot 2 has been EOL for years) and just add scroll fatigue. Inclusion bar is basically "exists and is free software" since anyone can PR an addition, so there's no quality filter beyond a human skimming PRs.
