CosmicMind/Material
A UI/UX framework for creating beautiful applications.
Material is a UIKit-based component library for iOS that bundles Material Design widgets (cards, snackbar, FAB menu, nav drawer, text fields) into one framework. It's for teams building a Material-style UIKit app and willing to accept a dependency that stopped shipping updates years ago.
Covers a genuinely wide surface of Material components in one place (cards, chips, tabs, bottom nav, search bar) rather than forcing you to assemble them from scratch. Animation logic is factored out into a separate library (Motion) instead of being tangled into the UI components. 12k stars means there's a real back-catalog of Stack Overflow answers and sample projects if something breaks.
Last commit is from 2022 — no Swift 5.x concurrency updates, no iOS 16/17 compatibility work, and no indication it still builds cleanly on current Xcode. It's UIKit-only with zero SwiftUI story, so adopting it now means building a legacy-style app from day one. Install docs lean on CocoaPods and Carthage, both in decline, with no real SPM-first guidance despite a Package.swift existing. The README is a feature checklist with gifs — no architecture notes, no testing story, nothing in the tree suggesting a test suite exists.
