🍰 Download files through webhook
A minimal Node.js webhook server that wraps you-get (and similar downloaders like yt-dlp) to pull videos, audio, or images from a URL to disk on POST request. It's built specifically to sit behind IFTTT + RSSHub so you get auto-downloads from YouTube, Twitter, bilibili, etc. when new items hit an RSS feed.
Does one thing and gets out of the way — a single POST endpoint with a shared secret, no auth system or database to configure. Docker image is ready to run with a volume mount for downloads, so deployment on a NAS or VPS is a one-liner. Supports multiple download engines (you-get, yt-dlp, youtube-dl, wget, bilibili-specific) so it can fall back when one breaks against a site's changes.
Last commit is mid-2023, and this space (site scraping) breaks constantly as platforms change their frontends — you-get itself has had long stretches without releases, so expect dead engines. No queueing or concurrency control visible in the tree, so a burst of webhook calls from an active RSS feed could pile up parallel downloads. Secret is passed in the JSON body over plain HTTP by default, and there's no rate limiting or request validation beyond the shared secret — fine on a private LAN, risky if you expose port 3000 publicly. No tests in the repo, so any engine change is unverified until you throw a real URL at it.
