Community-driven collection of Jetpack Compose example code and tutorials :rocket: https://foso.github.io/compose

A large Jetpack Compose sample app with a matching GitHub Pages docs site, organized as one example per component across foundation, material, layout, animation, and cookbook recipes. It suits developers who want to see how a specific composable is wired up, more than someone learning Compose from the top down.

Each component's code in the app module sits beside a markdown page in docs/ (CanvasDrawExample.kt next to docs/foundation/canvas.md), so the example and its explanation stay together. The coverage goes past Button and Text into BoxWithConstraints, SubComposeLayout, BasicTextField, LazyVerticalGrid, the back handler, and embedding Android Views, which are harder to find good examples for. There is also a Compose UI test example under androidTest and a docs page on testing, so the project shows how to test the samples as well as how to draw them.

The README still advertises Kotlin 2.0.20 and Compose 1.7.0, and the resources section links to 2019 and 2020 talks and to the pre-1.0 androidx.ui reference package. The repo was pushed in March 2026, but the links and version badges look a few years old. The file list suggests most components get one file with one demo, so the samples probably show call sites rather than trade-offs like where to hoist state or how far recomposition reaches. Repo hygiene is loose: docs/cookbook/how_to_create_your_own_modifier has no file extension, androidTest contains a stray test.text, and the README lists Scaffold and Text twice above a block of share badges.
