Data & Code for my video on the Pandas library of Python

A single Jupyter notebook pairing a Pokemon CSV/XLSX dataset with the walkthrough from Keith Galli's popular pandas YouTube tutorial. It's for people learning pandas basics — filtering, grouping, sorting, merging — who want to follow along with the video rather than read docs.

The Pokemon dataset is small and intuitive enough that beginners can reason about expected output at every step, which is the right call for teaching. The notebook moves through filtering, groupby, concatenation, and basic cleaning in a logical progression that maps to real pandas workflows, not toy one-liners. It's also genuinely used — the 2176 forks (double the stars) show people are actually cloning it to run along with the video, not just starring and forgetting it.

There's no actual code here beyond one notebook and a short analysis.py — this is a video companion, not a library or tool, so it doesn't belong anywhere near a 'best pandas repos' list. It's been dead since mid-2023: no pandas 2.x deprecation fixes, no updates for anything that's changed in the ecosystem since. There's no requirements.txt or environment pin, so a beginner running it today has no guarantee the notebook's behavior matches what they see, which defeats the point of a tutorial repo.
