This is a Repository to get you started with Kubernetes.
A collection of Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and install scripts, organised by concept and anchored to a 12-hour YouTube course. It suits people who want working YAML for core objects like pods, services, deployments, RBAC, and HPA before they learn the theory behind them.
- The deployment strategies folder is the most useful part. Rolling, recreate, blue-green, and canary each have their own directory with manifests and a README, plus a side-by-side comparison doc, so the trade-offs show up in the YAML rather than only in prose.
- The MySQL example combines a ConfigMap, a Secret, and a PersistentVolumeClaim in one workload. That is closer to a real stateful deployment than the usual single-pod nginx demo.
- Every concept in the index links to a concrete directory, so the repo works well as a lookup table when you already know which object you need.
- The README is mostly an index. The real explanation lives in a 12-hour video, so someone who skips the video gets a list of file links with little written reasoning for each concept.
- The README does not say which Kubernetes version the manifests target or which apiVersions they use. Stale resources would be hard to spot without that.
- HELM/apache/apache-0.1.0.tgz is a packaged chart committed beside the chart source. It can drift from templates/ and values.yaml without anyone noticing.
- The kubeadm scripts install cluster components directly on a host. The repo does not state which versions they pin or how they were tested, which matters before running them on anything real.
