// the take

A Kubernetes study guide packaged as markdown tutorials plus runnable YAML labs, covering everything from pods and services to taints, daemonsets, PV/PVC, ingress, and kubeadm cluster setup. It's aimed at developers learning K8s from scratch who want copy-pasteable examples alongside the conceptual explanation, not at people looking for a tool or library.

Each concept has a matching lab with actual YAML you can apply, not just prose describing the API. It goes further than most intro content by including real kubeadm cluster bring-up scripts for Ubuntu 20.04/24.04 and even Windows Server with Docker/containerd, which most tutorials skip entirely. The kubectl and Helm cheatsheets are dense, practical references rather than toy examples. Coverage is broad: affinity, taint/toleration, daemonsets, statefulsets, rollout/rollback, and a Prometheus/Grafana monitoring lab are all there.

This is documentation, not software — there's no CI or test harness verifying the YAML labs still apply cleanly against current Kubernetes releases, so drift is silent until you hit it yourself. It leans heavily on embedded GitHub user-images screenshots rather than text for diagrams and command output, which makes the content fragile (dead links) and impossible to grep. The baseline K8s version noted in the README is v1.22.3, and while the kubeadm setup scripts have been updated for newer versions, the conceptual markdown pages themselves aren't version-pinned, so some details may lag current K8s behavior. It's a single-maintainer personal reference repo with no visible review process, so accuracy depends entirely on one person keeping ~25 separate markdown files in sync over time.
