Creating this repo with an intent to make Kubernetes easy for begineers. This is a work-in-progress repo.
A learning repo of raw notes and copy-paste commands for setting up Kubernetes on AWS with kops, aimed at absolute beginners studying for interviews or certs rather than production use.
The kops-on-EC2 walkthrough is concrete and end-to-end, including IAM permissions and free-tier gotchas that trip up first-timers. It's popular enough (2.7k stars) that gaps get reported quickly, and the Security doc covers RBAC and pod security basics.
It's explicitly a work-in-progress with big holes — no coverage of networking, storage, or troubleshooting beyond the initial cluster spin-up. Commands are pinned to specific tool versions (v1.28, Ubuntu 24.04) that will silently break as those age out. There's no CI, no tests, and no indication anyone maintains this beyond ad-hoc commits — it's a personal notes dump, not a curriculum.
