This repository started out as a learning in public project for myself and has now become a structured learning map for many in the community. We have 3 years under our belt covering all things DevOps, including Principles, Processes, Tooling and Use Cases surrounding this vast topic.
Three years of structured DevOps learning material — 2022 covers core DevOps (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD), 2023 adds DevSecOps with community contributors, 2024 is 91 community-recorded YouTube sessions. Aimed at developers and sysadmins breaking into or solidifying DevOps fundamentals. This is a curriculum, not a tool.
Genuinely broad coverage with working code samples — the Ansible scenarios progress from a single playbook to multi-role configurations, which is more useful than most tutorials. The accompanying shell scripts and Vagrantfiles mean you can actually run the examples, not just read about them. Three years of content means it tracks how the tooling evolved. CC BY-NC-SA license keeps it open for personal and educational use without vendor capture.
The 2024 edition is just YouTube links with no written content — if you learn by reading, it's a dead end. Content from 2022 is showing its age on fast-moving topics like container security and GitOps tooling. No exercises or checkpoints — it's a reading list, not a course, so self-discipline is entirely on the learner. The repo structure is a flat dump of three years of files with no clear entry point for someone who wants a specific topic rather than the full 90-day sequence.
