Devops Tutorial for Beginners - Learn Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins and Azure Devops

This is the companion repo for in28minutes' DevOps course, walking through Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps with toy Spring Boot microservices as the running example. It's for someone starting from zero who wants a guided, step-by-step path through the whole CI/CD and IaC toolchain rather than a reference implementation to build on.

The step list maps directly to video lessons, so you can follow along without guessing what changed between commits. It covers a genuinely wide swath of the DevOps toolchain in one place (Docker -> K8s -> Terraform -> Ansible -> two different CI systems -> two different clouds), which is useful for seeing how the pieces fit together rather than learning each tool in isolation. The microservice examples are simple enough (currency-exchange, currency-conversion) that the DevOps concepts aren't obscured by business logic.

This is course marketing material with a repo attached, not a maintained open-source project — the README leads with enrollment pitches and 'Todo' items are literally about promoting the Udemy course. No CI badge, no tests running against the infra code, and no indication anything here is kept current against new Terraform/K8s/Ansible versions since the last push in September 2024. The Terraform and Kubernetes configs are pinned to specific course-era API versions and cloud provider quirks (AWS EKS, Azure AKS) that will likely need patching before they apply cleanly today. Directory structure is one giant monorepo per tool rather than isolated, reusable modules, so lifting any single piece out for your own project means untangling it from the tutorial narrative first.
