:rocket: The Ultimate Image Uploader for Efficient Creators. Supports Obsidian, Typora, VS Code etc. and 60+ image hosting services (S3, GitHub, Cloudflare R2, Imgur, Aliyun OSS...). Paste, upload, done.

PicGo is an Electron desktop app that uploads images to GitHub, Imgur, Aliyun OSS, SM.MS, and other hosts, then copies the resulting link to your clipboard, aimed at anyone writing Markdown (Obsidian, Typora, VS Code) who's tired of manually hosting screenshots. It's a GUI wrapper plus a plugin runtime (PicGo-Core) rather than a fixed set of integrations.

The plugin architecture is the real product: PicGo-Core exposes a stable enough API that an ecosystem of host and transform plugins (S3, R2, MinIO, watermarking, renaming) exists independently of the core maintainer shipping each one. The paste-to-clipboard-link workflow is genuinely well integrated into existing editors via global hotkeys and native/community plugins rather than requiring you to leave your writing tool. There's an actual test suite (vitest specs across main and renderer processes) and CI via GitHub Actions, plus husky pre-commit/pre-push hooks — more engineering discipline than most Electron utilities bother with. The HTTP API (2.2.0+) means it's not GUI-only; you can script uploads from other tooling or CI.

The headline '60+ image hosting services' is misleading on a fresh install: S3, Cloudflare R2, and MinIO are no longer built in and require separate plugin installs, so the out-of-box host list is actually small. The README now carries a 'PicGo Cloud' upsell layer (plan-gate, plan-badge, free-plan-banner components in the renderer) grafted onto what used to be a plain open-source utility — worth checking what's actually gated before building a workflow around it. Linux is explicitly called out as 'not fully tested' in the docs, so it's effectively a macOS/Windows tool with Linux as an afterthought. It's maintained primarily by one person despite the scale of the userbase (27k stars), which is a real bus-factor risk for something this many people have wired into their daily writing pipeline.
