OisinForde05/fleetManagementProject

C · updated Apr 2025

A small Visual Studio C project for a college-style fleet management system — login handling and machine/vehicle tracking split across main.c and machine.c/h. Fits a student learning basic C file I/O and structs, not anyone looking for a real fleet tool.

- Reasonable separation between machine.c/machine.h and main.c instead of one giant file

- Uses plain text files (fleet.txt, login.txt) for persistence, which is at least inspectable and easy to debug for a beginner project

- The entire .vs folder, x64/Debug build output, .obj/.pdb/.ilk files, and compiled .exe are committed to the repo — no .gitignore, so the repo is mostly build junk rather than source

- login.txt suggests credentials are stored in plain text with no hashing, which is a bad habit to pick up even in a toy project

- No README, no build instructions, zero stars/forks/activity since April 2025 — this is an abandoned coursework submission, not a maintained project

- No tests, and the .sln ties it to Visual Studio on Windows only, so it's not portable or buildable via a plain Makefile/CMake
