A simple, modern QR code library

A minimal QR code generator by Rich Harris that strips out the legacy cruft from the original kazuhikoarase implementation. It just returns a boolean matrix for the QR modules and leaves rendering (canvas, SVG, terminal) entirely up to you.

The API is one function with a sane default (auto-selects version) and optional overrides for version and error correction level. No DOM or Node dependencies, so it runs anywhere JS runs including edge runtimes and web workers. Small enough to actually read the source in one sitting and verify it does what it claims.

No rendering helpers at all, so you're writing your own canvas/SVG/ASCII output before you can see a QR code on screen. No commits since 2023 and no CHANGELOG, so it's effectively frozen even though the problem space is stable. README has zero mention of alphanumeric/byte mode selection or how encoding modes are chosen, and there's no error handling documented for inputs that exceed the max capacity for a given version.
