GoTTH is a starter template for server-rendered Go web apps. It pairs Go on the backend with templ for type-checked HTML templates, HTMX for partial page updates, and Tailwind for styling. It includes register, login, and logout handlers, so it is a reasonable base for a small internal tool or prototype where you want to skip a JavaScript build chain. It is a project skeleton rather than a framework, and it should be read that way.
The about, login, and register handlers have tests, and the middleware has a test file too. The store and hash packages sit behind interfaces with mock packages alongside them, so the handler tests do not need a database. Using templ means template mistakes show up as build errors instead of runtime render failures. The Makefile splits the dev loop into separate tailwind-watch, templ-watch, and air targets, so each piece can be run and debugged on its own.
The dev setup asks for more than the name suggests. You download the Tailwind standalone binary by hand and drop it in the repo root, then install templ and Air, and the Docker path adds another layer. The generated *_templ.go files and style.min.css are committed next to their sources, so they will drift unless CI regenerates and diffs them. I did not open the workflow file to check. The README says nothing about required configuration or environment variables, even though internal/config exists. I also did not see rate limiting or CSRF protection in the file list, so treat the auth flow as a demo and not a security baseline.
