SuperKit is an opinionated, Rails-style full-stack web framework for Go, bundling routing, migrations, Templ-based views, and an auth plugin into one convention-driven project layout. It's aimed at Go developers who want a batteries-included alternative to assembling net/http, a router, and a template engine by hand, rather than people who want a minimal library.

Compiles the entire app plus its CSS/JS assets into a single production binary, which is a genuinely good deployment story compared to shipping a Go binary alongside a separate asset pipeline. It uses Templ for views, so templates are compiled and type-checked instead of relying on reflection-driven text/html parsing. The generated project structure (handlers, types, views, events, migrations) gives new projects a consistent shape instead of everyone inventing their own, and the auth plugin ships with working migrations and handlers out of the box instead of just docs.

The maintainer labels it 'experimental' and the last push was mid-2024, so anyone adopting it now is betting on a framework that looks stalled. The README's own Validations section just says 'todo' and Testing has no content, which tracks with the repo: there's a validate package but no visible test coverage for the framework itself beyond one event_test.go. The convention-heavy structure (bootstrap/app/conf, custom Makefile targets for db-up/db-mig-create) means real framework lock-in — ejecting later to standard Go idioms will be painful. Config loading mixes YAML defaults with env var overrides in a way the README admits 'contradicts 12-factor' without a clear justification beyond convenience.
