Flowcharting, plugin for Grafana to create complexe visio's draws style like technical architectures, floorplan, diagrams, hierarchical schema based on draw.io

A Grafana panel plugin that embeds draw.io/mxGraph so you can wire live metrics into diagrams instead of ad-hoc panels - think network topology, floorplans, or architecture diagrams where node color/state/tooltips update from query results. Useful for ops teams doing IT/OT monitoring who want a visual instead of a graph, less useful for anyone who just needs standard time-series panels.

The core idea is legitimately differentiated - rule-based mapping of metrics to shape color, state, tooltip text, and links, with regex matching and variable substitution, is more than most diagram plugins offer. It has an actual jest test suite with snapshot tests covering the rule/threshold/state/metrics classes, which is more testing discipline than most single-maintainer Grafana plugins bother with. It's signed and published through grafana-cli, so it's not a random zip download.

Last commit is from April 2023 and it's still built on AngularJS - the plugin's own roadmap targeted a React rewrite for August 2022 that clearly never happened, and Grafana has since moved further away from Angular-panel support, so this may not load on current Grafana versions at all. The repo vendors the entire draw.io/mxGraph engine plus hundreds of stencil XML files directly into src/libs, pinned to a specific April 2022 draw.io build with no upgrade path - that's dead weight and a security-patch liability, not a dependency. The changelog lists known unresolved issues (crosshair bug on Grafana 8.x, arrow animation, external image loading) with no subsequent activity suggesting they were ever fixed.
