Web Based Point Of Sale(POS) Application using Laravel
A Laravel-based point-of-sale system for retail/restaurant use — product catalog, cart, orders, customers, suppliers, and a purchasing/inventory module. It's a tutorial project (built alongside a YouTube series) aimed at developers who want a self-hosted PHP POS to run as-is or fork for a client project.
Actual test coverage exists — Feature tests for auth, cart, customers, orders, products, purchases, and suppliers, plus CI workflows running the suite and a Larastan static analysis check on every push. The purchase/inventory module (supplier selection, stock updates on purchase, printable purchase receipts) is more complete than most POS clones bother to build. Multi-language support (en/es) is wired in via Laravel's localization rather than bolted on.
Core POS functionality is still unfinished per the repo's own roadmap: no multiple payment methods, no per-item or invoice discounts, and no sale receipt printing — that last one is hard to justify shipping as a 'point of sale' without. Seeded admin credentials (admin@gmail.com/admin123) are printed directly in the README with no warning to change them before deploying, which is exactly how these things end up exposed on the open internet. The README half-promotes a separate hosted product (Khmernokor POS) with features like KDS and QR ordering that aren't in this codebase, making it unclear which capabilities you're actually getting versus what's a sales pitch for something else.
