Boris Cherny's answers to the frontend JavaScript interview questions from his 2017 blog post. The questions live on his site, not in the repo, so the code only makes sense next to the original prompts. It is aimed at engineers preparing for JavaScript coding rounds who want a reference to check their own solutions against.
The files are sorted into easy, intermediate and harder tiers, and each problem is its own small file, so diffing your attempt against the answer is easy. The harder tier goes past array helpers into debounce, permute, a BinarySearchTree and tree traversal, which tend to come up in senior screens. The debugging folder is markdown rather than code, which fits questions where the real task is explaining why something misbehaves.
The README says it contains just answers, and nothing in it explains the reasoning, so when your solution differs you learn what the reference does but not why it is the better choice. The directory listing shows no test directory, so there is no executable spec to check your own version against, only the ESLint config and CI file. The last push was January 2023 and the question set dates from 2017, and the coverage is coding puzzles and debugging only, with nothing on system design, CSS or framework questions that many frontend loops now include. The answers are only meaningful alongside the questions, which live on an external blog, so if that link goes away the repo loses most of its context.
