brunosimon/threejs-template-simple
A bare-bones Webpack starter for Three.js projects from Bruno Simon, the developer behind the Three.js Journey course. It's just enough scaffolding — one HTML file, one script, one stylesheet — to get a scene rendering without setting up a bundler yourself.
The Webpack config is split cleanly into common/dev/prod files, so you can see exactly what's different about the production build instead of digging through one monolithic config. It's genuinely minimal — no UI framework, no state management, no opinions about how you structure your Three.js code, so it doesn't fight you later.
Last pushed in September 2022 and still on Webpack when most of the ecosystem has moved to Vite for anything Three.js-related, so you're inheriting slower dev-server rebuilds for no real benefit. There's no TypeScript variant, no example scene beyond the stub script.js, and no tests or CI — it's a starting point, not a template you can trust to scale past the first commit.
