Curso Tratamento de Exceções em Java
A Portuguese-language companion to a free Digital Innovation One course on exception handling in Java. It covers Error, checked and unchecked exceptions, try/catch/finally, throws versus throw, and custom exceptions. It is aimed at developers who know basic OOP and are new to Java's exception model.
- The README includes the details beginners usually miss: catch blocks must run from most specific to most generic, finally is skipped if System.exit(0) runs inside a catch, and throws declares a signature while throw actually raises the exception.
- Each concept has its own class named after it (CheckedException, UncheckedException, ImpossivelAberturaDeArquivoException), so the code maps directly onto the README sections.
- The custom exception advice is correct: check the standard library before writing your own. The examples use domain names like DivisaoNaoExataException rather than generic ones.
- The checked exception section says these 'DEVEM ser evitados', which is backwards. Checked exceptions signal recoverable conditions the caller must handle or declare, and this wording would push a beginner to avoid the mechanism instead of using it.
- Build output and IDE state are committed. out/production/ holds .class files and .idea/ is checked in. The out/ tree has a different layout (a test/ package, Exemplo_3.class) that no source file matches, so it is stale and confusing.
- There is no build file and no tests. The only way to run the examples is to open the project in an IDE, and nothing checks that the code still matches the README. The last push was March 2023.
- The README has typos throughout ('etratados', 'imeditamente', 'aling', 'compatilhar'), and an unrelated romances-blake-crouch.txt file sits in the root.
