Mobile app for Chatwoot - React Native

The official React Native/Expo mobile client for Chatwoot, the open-source customer support platform. It's for teams already running Chatwoot who want agents to handle conversations, canned responses, and notifications from a phone instead of only the web dashboard.

The feature set goes well beyond a basic inbox viewer: audio message recording, email threading with quoted replies, WhatsApp template forms, macros, SLA event tracking, and an AI copilot reply assistant - this covers real agent workflows. Jest mocks are set up for every native integration point (notifee, Firebase messaging, Sentry, async-storage), and a large share of UI components ship with Storybook stories. It's actively maintained (push as of 2026-10-08) by the company behind Chatwoot itself, not a community side project, and ships with 40+ language translations already wired up.

Eight patch-package patches are applied to dependencies, including react-native-reanimated and expo-modules-jsi, which are load-bearing for animations and the native bridge - every RN/Expo upgrade means re-verifying those patches still apply and still work. It's hard-coupled to a self-hosted Chatwoot backend (3.13.0+), so it's useless without that server running; this isn't a building block you adopt piecemeal. The directory naming (components-next alongside the rest) suggests a mid-migration codebase, so new contributors need to figure out which component pattern is current before touching UI code. Storybook coverage is good but there's no visible unit/integration test suite for business logic beyond the native-module mocks.
