Native iOS and Android client for Open WebUI, direct OpenAI-compatible, Ollama, and Hermes agents.

Conduit is a native Flutter client for Open WebUI that also talks directly to OpenAI-compatible endpoints, Ollama, OpenRouter, and self-hosted Hermes agents, with no developer-run backend in the path. It is aimed at people who already self-host Open WebUI or local models and want something that behaves on a phone, including reverse-proxy auth and streaming that survives backgrounding.

Auth coverage is the real differentiator: LDAP, JWT entry, SSO/OAuth, and cookie capture for oauth2-proxy, Authelia, Authentik, and Cloudflare Tunnel are the things most mobile clients skip. Credentials go to Keychain or Keystore, and the README's claim that nothing routes through a maintainer backend is checkable from the architecture. Native Flutter rendering of code, Mermaid, and LaTeX is a sensible choice over a web view wrapper. The Apple On-Device and PCC providers are an interesting use of platform models, and the README is candid about what they cannot do.

Contribution is closed in practice: unsolicited PRs are discouraged and the project asks people to open an issue first, so forking is the only route for outside changes. The feature list is long and the README does not say how much of it is tested beyond a few Android unit tests in the tree. Several features depend on what the server exposes (channels, terminal, notes), so the experience on a bare direct connection is noticeably thinner than the headline suggests. Submodules and build_runner codegen are required before it builds, which is a setup tax for anyone who just wants to read the code.
