David Beazley's blog hosted as a GitHub repo — a handful of short, opinionated posts on Python design and software craft. Beazley wrote the Python Cookbook and teaches advanced Python courses, so when he writes something it's worth reading, even if there isn't much of it.
The posts that exist are genuinely good: concrete, opinionated, and written by someone who actually understands CPython internals and software design at depth. Using GitHub as a blog is a neat trick — PRs for typos, Discussions for comments, release RSS for notifications, no CMS overhead. The writing is direct and doesn't waste your time.
Six posts in three years is barely a blog — it's more of an occasional note-to-self. The last push was July 2024 and there's been one post since 2023. The GitHub-as-blog format works fine for reading but makes discovery awkward; there's no way to browse by topic and the directory structure is just flat markdown files by year. Anyone starring this hoping for a regular content stream will be disappointed.
