davidbombal/Kali-Linux

★ 307 · updated Feb 2022

A supporting repository for David Bombal's Kali Linux tutorials, apparently holding setup notes and hardware references for running Kali. Only one entry in the directory tree was visible, a note on the TP-Link TL-WN722N USB Wi-Fi adapter, so most of the repo's contents could not be checked.

The adapter note fits the audience. The TL-WN722N is a common choice for monitor mode and packet injection on Kali, and a hardware note saves a beginner from buying the wrong device. Tying the repo to a widely followed course gives the setup steps a readership that will report when they break.

The last push was 28 February 2022, more than four years ago. Kali ships rolling releases with changing tooling, so anything version-specific is probably stale. The adapter note is a trap if it does not name a revision: the TL-WN722N v1 uses an Atheros chip with the ath9k_htc driver and supports monitor mode, while the v2 and v3 use a Realtek chip that does not. Not visible to this review: the README, the rest of the tree, any scripts, and any sign of recent maintenance.
