为Docker Desktop for Mac/Windows开启Kubernetes和Istio。

A workaround repo for developers in China who can't pull Kubernetes images from Google's infrastructure. Docker Desktop has built-in Kubernetes support, but the required images are blocked behind the GFW; this repo provides scripts that pull them from Alibaba Cloud mirrors instead. Not useful outside of China.

Solves a real, concrete problem — without this, Docker Desktop's built-in Kubernetes simply doesn't work in mainland China. Actively maintained with version branches per K8s release, so you can track specific versions rather than just main. The `images.properties` file makes it easy to pin or override image versions without touching the scripts. The CI workflow (kubeadm.yml) auto-validates that the listed image tags actually exist.

Scope is deliberately narrow — this is a mirror-proxy workaround, not a Kubernetes learning resource or toolchain, despite the README covering Helm, Istio, and ingress at some length. The Istio section is undercooked: 'Windows environment not rigorously tested' is a red flag if you're on Windows. The dashboard setup still uses the old token-based auth flow and a pinned v2.5.1 manifest that's several major versions behind. Entirely useless if you're outside China or using a VPN.
