// the take
A 2016-era grab bag of 30 isolated React Native demos — stopwatch, weather app, Tinder-style swipe, TouchID unlock, push notifications — each built as its own screen with a GIF preview. Useful only as a museum piece for anyone trying to understand how RN apps were structured before Fabric, Hooks, or Expo existed.
Decent breadth of classic mobile UI patterns (gesture handling, custom animations, scrollable tabs, swipe menus) each isolated to one file, so you can skim a GIF and jump straight to the relevant day's code without untangling a monolith. The GIF-per-day format makes it fast to visually scan for a pattern you need.
Dead since September 2018 — built against RN 0.34/0.40 and Xcode 8, using Navigator and NavigatorIOS, both removed from RN years ago, so none of this runs against a current RN project without a rewrite. Android was never finished (the README literally says '# TODO' under Android installation). Several days (4, 6, 12, 15, 25, 26, 29) are empty stubs marked 'TO BE UPDATED' that were never filled in. Pulls in half a dozen third-party RN libraries from the same 2016 era (react-native-touch-id, react-native-gesture-password, etc.) that are themselves abandoned, so even getting one working demo running means resolving a dependency graph nobody maintains anymore.
