:performing_arts: 本IM通信项目是作者小傅哥使用JavaFx、Netty4.x、SpringBoot、Mysql等技术栈和偏向于DDD领域驱动设计方式,搭建的仿桌面版微信实现通信核心功能。课程文章已发布到GitChat专栏,欢迎购买。如果本项目能为您提供帮助,请给予支持(关注、:star:Star、分享)!

A step-by-step Netty + JavaFx clone of desktop WeChat, built as the code companion to a 25-article paid GitChat course. It's aimed at Java developers trying to learn Netty 4.x and Netty's socket.io integration by building something tangible rather than reading API docs, with a secondary thread on applying DDD-style layering to a Spring Boot backend.

The repo is structured as incremental demos (itstack-naive-chat-client-01, server-01, server-02...) so you can see the project grow from a bare Netty client/server to a full DDD-layered backend with MySQL/Redis repositories, which is genuinely useful for following the progression rather than dropping you into a finished codebase. It covers a real end-to-end slice (login, friend list, chat, reconnect) instead of a toy echo server, so the Netty usage shows up in a realistic context (channel handlers, event-driven UI updates via JavaFx).

The actual explanation of why things are built this way lives behind a paid GitChat column, not in the code or README, so the repo alone is a browsable but under-documented stack of Maven modules. Everything is in Chinese with no translation, which cuts off most non-Chinese-reading developers despite the technical content being broadly applicable. There's essentially no test coverage (one stub ApiTest class) and no CI. It hasn't been pushed since April 2023, and the UI layer mixes JavaFx with a jQuery EasyUI webapp bundle, which is a dated frontend stack that won't reflect current practice.
