Google Cloud Client Libraries for Go.
This is Google's official monorepo of Go client libraries for GCP services — one module per API (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Storage, Datastore, and hundreds more). It's for Go developers building on Google Cloud who want typed, generated clients instead of hand-rolling REST/gRPC calls.
Consistent GAPIC-generated client shape across every service, so learning one client (context-first methods, iterator-based paging, option functors) transfers to the rest. Auth is centralized through the auth/credentials package with ADC support baked in, so you're not wiring up OAuth per service. Each API ships as its own go.mod, so `go get cloud.google.com/go/firestore` doesn't drag in the dependency tree for services you don't use.
The generated code shows: thick client wrappers, proto types leaking into the public surface, and error handling that reads like protobuf status codes rather than idiomatic Go errors. Several packages are still pre-1.0 and the README says outright they can break compatibility without warning — pin versions or get surprised. 200+ independently versioned modules in one repo is awkward for anything that assumes a single go.mod (go work setups, vendoring, dependency scanners) and makes 'which version am I even on' a real question when debugging.
