Source code related to the redux-toolkit tutorials on YouTube
Companion code for gopinav's YouTube series on Redux Toolkit, structured as four separate mini-projects that step from plain Redux boilerplate up through RTK and finally RTK with TypeScript. It's for someone following the videos, not someone looking for a standalone reference.
The four-project structure (redux-demo, rtk-demo, react-rtk-demo, react-rtk-ts-demo) makes it easy to diff plain Redux against createSlice line by line since the same cake/icecream/user domain is reused across all of them. The TypeScript demo includes a typed hooks.ts (useAppSelector/useAppDispatch pattern), which is the one piece of RTK+TS boilerplate people usually have to look up. Each project is a minimal, runnable Vite app rather than a single sprawling monorepo, so you can clone just the stage you're on.
No tests anywhere in the tree, so there's nothing to verify behavior beyond running the app and eyeballing it. Everything stops at createSlice and configureStore — no createAsyncThunk, no RTK Query, no middleware examples, which is exactly where RTK earns its keep over plain Redux and where most real questions come up. Last push was May 2024 with no activity since, and there's no visible README beyond the one-line description, so it's genuinely a video companion rather than something that stands on its own. The toy slices (cake, icecream counters) never touch normalized state or entity adapters, so it doesn't prepare you for anything beyond the tutorial's scope.
