This C program implements a Warehouse Management System that allows users to store, retrieve, update, and delete inventory records.
A single-file C program that does basic CRUD on inventory records stored in a binary file (warehouse.dat), with delete implemented via a temp-file copy. It's a classroom-style exercise in struct-based binary file I/O and menu-driven CLI programs, not something meant for real inventory tracking.
Uses fwrite/fread with a fixed-size struct, which is a correct and common pattern for binary record storage in C. The delete-by-rewrite-to-temp-file approach is the standard technique for this kind of flat-file database and is implemented straightforwardly. The menu loop and feature set (add/view/search/update/delete) cover the full CRUD cycle in a way that's easy to follow for someone learning file handling.
No error checking on fopen/fwrite/fread calls, so a missing or locked warehouse.dat will likely crash or silently corrupt data rather than report a failure. Search and update are linear scans over the whole file with no indexing, so it doesn't scale past a toy dataset, though that's not really the point of a learning project. There's no validation on input (duplicate IDs, negative quantity/price, name buffer overflow via scanf into a fixed char[50]) and no handling for concurrent access, which would corrupt the file if two instances ran at once. The repo also ships a compiled .exe alongside the source, which shouldn't be committed.
