Spring and Spring Boot Tutorial For Absolute Beginners - 10-in-1 - Spring to Spring Boot to REST API to Full Stack to Containers to Cloud

The companion repo for in28minutes' Udemy course covering Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, Spring Security, a React front end, and deployment to Docker/AWS. It's for absolute beginners working through the video course step by step, not a library or reference architecture to pull into a real project.

Each lecture step is its own numbered, buildable Maven/Gradle project with a matching .md changelog, so you can diff exactly what changed between steps instead of hunting through one sprawling codebase. The progression is genuinely well sequenced — POJO to Spring bean to @Component to Spring Boot autoconfig, then Basic Auth to JWT to OAuth2 — each concept lands before the next is introduced. It's actively maintained (pushed days ago) and already targets Spring Boot 4.x / Java 17+ rather than being stuck on an old Boot version like most course repos end up.

Every step directory also ships a .zip snapshot of itself, so the repo carries redundant binary copies of nearly every checkpoint — bloats clone size for no real benefit since the source is already there. The web app module (11-web-application) teaches JSP/JSTL with Model2/DispatcherServlet, which is not how anyone builds Spring MVC apps today and will teach beginners a pattern they'll immediately need to unlearn. Test coverage is the Spring Initializr boilerplate contextLoads() stub in most modules — the JUnit/Mockito section exists but isn't reflected back into the other 40+ project folders. It's a paid-course artifact, not a project accepting contributions, so if you hit a gap you're on your own rather than filing a PR.
