A curated list of awesome self-supervised methods

A big bibliography of self-supervised learning papers covering vision, video, 3D, audio, NLP, RL, and robotics, organized by sub-area and year. Useful for a grad student or researcher doing a literature sweep on SSL who wants a starting point instead of trawling arXiv listings.

Links straight to both the paper PDF and the official code repo for most entries, so you're not hunting through author homepages. Coverage is wide and the picks lean toward well-cited, canonical work (SimCLR, MoCo, BYOL, SwAV, Barlow Twins) rather than noise. It's still getting updated with 2024 entries, not an abandoned snapshot from 2019.

It's a flat markdown file with title/authors/venue and nothing about what the method actually does or how it differs from the paper above it — you still have to read every linked PDF to know if it's relevant. No way to filter or search beyond browser ctrl-F, and no indication of which entries are foundational versus incremental. Depth drops off unevenly by section — some areas (video, CV) are tracked closely through 2024, others (theory, time-series) have one or two entries for an entire year, so it's not a reliable signal of what's actually current in those subfields.
