Playground for Gulp Recipes
A reference project from John Papa demonstrating Gulp task automation patterns (linting, testing, building, serving) wired into an AngularJS 1.x app. It's aimed at developers who want copy-pasteable gulpfile.js recipes rather than a library or framework to depend on.
The gulpfile.js and gulp.config.js are genuinely well organized and readable as a reference for how to structure a non-trivial build pipeline (separate serve-dev/serve-build/optimize/templatecache tasks). It covers the full lifecycle developers actually needed in 2015-2016: linting, unit + midway testing with karma, LESS compilation, and Angular template caching, all in one place.
Last commit is from 2018, and the entire stack is now archaeology: Bower and TSD were both deprecated years ago, PhantomJS is unmaintained and won't install on modern Node, and jshint/jscs have been superseded by ESLint. Gulp itself has fallen out of favor for npm scripts, Vite, or esbuild, so the patterns shown don't map cleanly onto how anyone builds JS today. Anyone trying to actually `npm install` and run this will hit a wall of broken dependencies rather than a working demo.
