An inky color scheme for prose and code.

Flexoki is Steph Ango's warm, paper/ink-inspired color scheme, built as a base palette plus dozens of community-maintained ports to terminals, editors, and apps (VS Code, Neovim, Alacritty, Obsidian, etc.). It's for anyone who wants an alternative to the usual blue-tinted dark themes and is willing to hunt down whichever port matches their tool.

The core palette is small and legible — a markdown table of hex/RGB values that's trivial to hand-port to any config format, which is clearly why it has 40+ community ports. The extended palette (50-950 per hue, not just the 8 syntax colors) makes it usable for real UI work, not just terminal theming. Light and dark variants are each tuned by hand rather than one palette algorithmically inverted, so contrast in each mode was actually considered.

The repo itself is mostly static color tables and screenshots — the actual theme logic lives scattered across dozens of other people's unrelated repos, so quality, freshness, and even correctness vary port to port and you can't audit them from here. There's no machine-readable source of truth (JSON/YAML) shipped for the palette; you're copying hex values out of a markdown table if your tool isn't already on the ports list. No changelog or versioning on the palette itself, so if the canonical colors shift, dependent ports can quietly drift out of sync with no way to tell. Zero documented rationale or contrast-ratio data for accessibility — the colors look nice but there's no accessibility testing backing the choices.
